There is definitely a market for used and reconditioned forklifts. Used forklifts often sell for thousands of dollars less than new ones. A used forklift has all of the features and advantages of a new forklift at a much lower price. There are several ways to purchase a used forklift. People can purchase used forklifts on eBay, from stores or online retailers, or from forklift exchanges. It is a good idea to check out the used forklift before putting any money down. As with other used vehicles, used forklifts can be in bad shape and need extensive repair. It is important to be sure that the used forklift is not a lemon. Many used forklift dealers offer "better than new" guarantees that assure buyers that the used forklift is in good condition. Many of these warranties are longer lasting and offer more extensive coverage than warranties covering new forklifts. Many stores that sell new forklifts also sell old ones. They may take used forklifts as trade-ins for new ones, as many car dealerships do with cars. Several well-known and reputable used forklift dealers can be found in any region of the country, and similar services exist over the Internet as well. Internet purchases can be riskier because the buyer may not get to examine the used forklift before buying it, but, usually, it works out fine. There are some companies that specialize in used forklifts. They may buy them from sellers, fix them up a bit, and then resell them. These are often very good machines, as they are extensively improved before being resold. Other websites let people advertise their used forklifts for sale and take a percentage of the price if some one buys it.EBay is another place to find used forklifts, sometimes at a huge discount. Buyers may not get to test drive them before buying, so it is important that they know the exact make and model that they want before buying anything.Used forklifts can be a great deal for people with a limited budget. They often come with better warranties than new forklifts and are just as good.Forklifts Info provides detailed information about forklifts, including rough terrain and truck-mounted forklifts, used forklifts, and forklifts for sale, as well as forklift parts, accessories, operators, and safety. Forklifts Info is affiliated with Original Content Web.

Deciding Between Aftermarket, OEM, and Genuine Auto Parts
Author : Mantius Cazaubon
Aftermarket, OEM, or genuine auto parts... you're confused about what to choose. If that's you, read the following.Cheaper doesn't always mean inferior. Such is the case with aftermarket and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) car parts. While they are often up to 70% cheaper than genuine parts, they can be far superior in quality.Like many car owners and car parts buyers out there, I must say that I once thought that the genuine parts sold by my local automotive dealer were better. Well surprisingly, this is far removed from the truth.Do you think that car makers make their own parts? They certainly don't. They would probably like you to think so but this isn't the case.OEM parts are made by the same manufacturer as the genuine part you would receive from your local dealer. In other words, it's really the same part. The only difference is the logo on the box. Here's what happens. Car makers use outside independent companies to help them design their parts. But after a certain time frame the actual manufacturers of these parts are allowed to sell them to other wholesale distributors for resale. This time they come with the manufacturer's logo and not that of the car maker. So essentially, the identical part is now referred to as an OEM part. How about aftermarket parts? Are they inferior to genuine parts? ...Although aftermarket car parts are not made by the original manufacturer, they perform as well as the original. In many cases, the companies find a way of improving these parts so that the customer gets a part that is of superior quality. There is no need for concern. Aftermarket car parts are produced with the same machinery and materials as OEM and genuine parts. While the parts may have a few minor differences in look and feel, they basically do the same job. The companies who manufacture these aftermarket auto parts are credible. They legitimately buy the rights to manufacture those parts. You can order aftermarket and OEM car parts online today. It's easy. It's a great way to save money. Furthermore, you can have peace of mind, knowing that you're not compromising quality.Mantius Cazaubon offers a guide geared towards helping you find the best deals on reliable parts and accessories for your automobile at http://www.toyota-parts-guide.com. Finding Car Parts
Author : Jeff Lakie
Whether you are a backyard mechanic looking for inexpensive car parts to fill your customers' orders, or you own a body shop, or even a chain of body shops, you need to find car parts. However, car parts can be very expensive and can really bring down your profit margin. Especially, as a backyard mechanic, if you are fixing cars for family and friends with a pre-set expectation of a price range, expensive car parts can steal the few dollars you might expect to make for your trouble.EBay can help you find inexpensive car parts. Using eBay, or some other online auction, you will likely be able to find most of the parts you're looking for at a reasonable cost. And it's a lot of fun. Here's how it works:You'll need to sign up with eBay and with Paypal, since many people who post on eBay require payment through Paypal. It doesn't cost anything to sign up with either one of these.Go onto eBay and search for the parts you're looking for. You might be able to find them on the main site at eBay.com (or eBay.ca if you live in Canada) or you can go directly to eBay motors, which is an automotive-specific sister site to eBay.You can browse by the make and model of vehicle, and you may even find an entire vehicle that you can use for parts if need be.Once you have found the kind of vehicle parts you're looking for, you'll want to make sure that you are purchasing the auto parts from a reputable seller. You can do this by looking at their feedback, which eBay posts from previous buyers. You'll also want to make sure that they ship to your area. For example, if you are buying auto parts from the US, but you live in Canada, you'll need to make sure that they ship to Canada.Once you are satisfied that you are purchasing from a reputable buyer and that they will deliver the parts to you, you can place a bid by clicking on the "bid" button.Part of the fun of purchasing on eBay is to watch the auction draw to a close. If someone bids higher than you, you will need to re-bid on it again if you want another chance to own it.When the auction closes and you find that you have won, you will need to make arrangements with the seller for payment and shipping. Payment is easy with Paypal, all you need is the seller's e-mail address. Once your payment has been processed, the seller will send you the car part you bought. The main advantage of using eBay is that it is a fun way to get parts affordably. The main disadvantage is the time factor: For example, you could bid on a part and lose it moments before the auction closes. Still, for the amount of money you could save, this might be a worthwhile option.Jeff Lakie is the founder of Car Parts Information a website providing information on Car Parts

Mobile Car Wash Company Supplies
Author : Lance Winslow
Mobile car wash companies need to have supplies to work, things like soaps, waxes, tire dressing, polishes and window cleaner. Many start up mobile car wash companies wonder; Where do I keep my supplies and where do I get the proper products? The best recommendation would be to keep the supplies on trucks. To keep prices low and volume up it is unwise to seek additional storage areas or a shop space. Likewise it is cumbersome and costly to keep running around to get your supplies. They really should be on your unit at all times and easy to use. I propose that you keep one-gallon containers of your most used supplies in a plastic toolbox, which will not rust on your truck that is easy to get too. With two-squirt bottles of each highly used item such as spray wax, whitewall cleaner, window cleaner, tire dressing and rim cleaner. Generally such things as scent, leather cleaner and vinyl cleaner come in pre packaged easy to use containers of their own. It is wise to acquire a soda bottle tray that holds 1-liter containers to prevent your squirt bottles from falling over and spilling or leaking. You should have your car care supply vendor meet you at a specified location each week, perhaps a customer's location where you know you might be for a few hours. A location such as a car dealership back yard detailing, a boat yard or large automotive complex where your vendor may in fact recruit other business and have additional customers, thus you know he will be there on time each week. By timing your vendor rendezvous with your customer accounts and schedule you will save time. The supply vendors for automotive products such as waxes, buffing pads, soaps, etc. work similarly to the Snap-on-Tool licensees on specific weekly or bi-monthly routes, actually this is the way you ought to run your mobile car wash business as well. Honda Vs Toyota: The Battle For Number One
Author : Matthew Keegan
Toyota's Camry and Honda's Accord are the two top selling passenger cars sold in the US. Who will be number one this year? The battle lines are drawn and consumers have a chance to shape the outcome. Let's take a look at what makes these cars so popular with American drivers.Up until ten years ago, American cars dominated the marketplace with offerings from Ford or Chevrolet regularly securing the top spot. A series of bland and poorly made models from the domestic giants gave foreign car makers a unique opportunity to wrest control of the passenger car market. Since then the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord have been battling for the top spot with American models coming in a distant third. Both the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry are noted for high quality, affordability, refinement, and durability. The Accord is the sleeker of the two, although the Camry Solara, the coupe version of the Toyota, is sportier than its sedan stable mate.Honda Accord: For 2006 the Accord gets a significant make over. Redone from the ground up, the Accord's exterior is even sleeker than before and its interior has been refreshed as well with a new instrument panel being the key factor in the updated cabin. The base Accord features a 2.4L i-VTEC 4 cylinder engine mated to a 5 speed transmission. Double wishbone suspension, front and side impact airbags, and ABS are some of the standard options for the Accord. Base models start at $18,225 with fully loaded Accords retailing well into the high 20s.Toyota Camry: The 2006 Camry comes equipped with a 2.4L 16 valve DOHC 4 cylinder engine paired with a 5 speed manual transmission. Power windows, air conditioning, AM/FM/CD Player with 6 speakers, are some of the important standard features on the Camry. Base MSRP is $18,445 with fully loaded Camrys retailing as high as the mid 20s. The Camry was last restyled in 2002.Sales totals thus far this year suggest that the battle is very tight once again with perhaps only a few thousand sales ultimately separating the two models. With an updated Accord already in the mix, Honda has the best chance of winning this year's battle.Matt Keegan is a contributing writer for Car Parts Stuff, an online supplier of high quality and well priced automobile parts. 2006 Mercury Milan: The Mazda Connection
Author : Matthew Keegan
The 2006 model year has brought with it several all new models including the Mercury Milan, a midsize sedan based on the popular Mazda 6 platform. For Mercury, the Milan is an important and much needed entry that this particular division of the Ford Motor Company hopes will spice up an aging and uninspiring line up. Thanks to Ford's relationship with Mazda [they own a portion of the Japanese automaker], the Milan appears to be just what Mercury needs.During the last two decades, the Mercury division has witnessed car sales sink from a high of 527,000 cars sold in 1985 to just 202,000 vehicles sold in 2003. The tailspin has been due, in part, to neglect from higher ups within the company who felt that the division was redundant, in other words, what Mercury offered was nothing more than gently rebadged Fords. In many ways this was true. Still, Mercury has effectively served as a bridge to Ford's luxury division, Lincoln, and the retiring of key Mercury models including the Tracer and Cougar has meant that potential future Lincoln owners shopped elsewhere. Indeed, over the past decade, Lincoln sales have dropped dramatically to the point where archrival Cadillac now outsells Lincoln by over 100,000 vehicles per year. The Mercury Milan, along with the Ford Fusion and Lincoln Zephyr, are meant to breathe new life into their respective divisions. Based on the popular Mazda 6, the Mercury Milan fills a glaring hole in the Mercury line up. With a base MSRP of $18,995, the Milan offers plenty of car for the money. According to Lincoln Mercury, the Milan can be equipped as follows [1]:2.3L Duratec I4 or 3.0L Duratec 24-valve V-6 engineAudiophile® Sound System AM/FM stereo/ six-disc CD changer with MP3 capability5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmissionLeather-trimmed seatsPower Moon roofComfort Package, including air conditioning and power seats, windows, and door locksSafety and Security Package, including anti-theft systemWales Mahogany Wood-Appearance PackageOf course, time will tell if the Milan ultimately succeeds. The midsize car category offers stiff competition for the Milan with the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord leading the way. Still, the Milan offers consumers a proven product at a competitive price, something not seen at Mercury in quite some time.Source:[1] Lincoln Mercury at www.lincolnmercury.comCopyright 2005 -- Matthew Keegan is The Article Writer who writes on a variety of topics including: advocacy, automobiles, aviation, business, Christian themes, family, news, product reviews, travel, writing, and more. Future Cars and Technologies
Author : Lance Winslow
Cruising down the road American have come to love the automobile and what it stands for. But what will our future cars look like? Some advanced thinkers and concept car creators are envisioning bio-diesel-electric cars with large body capacitors built out of space age materials. You are saying WOW; tell me more. Okay they plan on using four wheel drive where each wheel has an electric motor, like the Diesel Audi Sports Cars that the Germans drive at 150 mph on the autobahn. They are thinking of strong bodies made of things like carbon nanotube construction. Even a Hurricane like Katrina, Rita or Wilma could not hurt them or you inside. The windshields would be made of composite construction using these same materials, which would be 50 times lighter than steel and stronger or harder than diamonds. Indeed this material now exists. Meaning in a decade or more you will be driving one.We will be manufacturing future cars with all this and more, cars, which do self-diagnosis, self-driving and even fly when needed. And can you say 250 mph gallon fuel efficiency? But we are talking a different type of fuel. Yes you could go for that, but what is the price? Don't worry they will be as or more affordable than our current gas-guzzlers. Engineers and concept future car designers know that light-weight is the key to re-designing the automobile for efficiency and economy, either way. Composites, Alloy mixes, carbon nanotubes and even Aluminum Oxynitride will be used in future cars. Haven't heard of some of these new materials? Don't worry you will soon. Would you like to learn more about future car topics?http://worldthinktank.net/wttbbs/index.php?s=deb0e0096a4baa952b64ff725238b546&c=14Realize that in the future our cars will not look anything like the cars we are driving now, just like the cars we are driving now do not look anything like Henry Ford's Model "T" or like the Orville or Wibur Brother's first flying craft does not look anything like an F-16 of a Boeing 747 Jumbo Jet. The future is our, are you coming with us? Will you be an early adopter of the latest technology or will you take a wait and see and watch approach? Lights, Lamps, and Bulbs Oh My

Can you imagine driving down the road at night with barely a flashlight bulb to guide your way? The first cars were outfitted with headlights that were just about that dim. Fortunately, lighting technology has improved to the point to where your car's lights can cut through the darkness allowing you to see and to be seen from great distances. Headlights are a terrific and important part of your car, without them driving one be reserved to daytime travel under optimum conditions. So, why do people sometimes neglect them?I used to own a Ford Escort. A basic car for a person like me who, at the time, was on a budget. The car served me well and was still running great when I sold it just after it had clocked 90,000 miles. Hey, it was time for me to step up in the world and the Ford Taurus was a Lincoln Town Car in comparison. Okay, back to the Escort… the only problem I ever had with the car was with its headlight assemblies. You see, they leaked...and then some.I first knew something was wrong when I took a trip on an interstate and had my headlights turned on. Oddly, I noticed that the lights seemed to be fading in and out. This happened for several miles before -- POOF! – the right bulb blew. Fortunately, I was near home by that time and I simply pulled into my driveway and took a look. To my shock and dismay both headlight assemblies were clouded over with moisture and a small amount of water was sitting inside at the bottom of each assembly. So, what I was seeing on the road was the water sloshing up and down before one "wave" took out the right bulb.My next step was to drain the two assemblies and caulk them both to keep out the water. 15 bucks for one halogen bulb and a few more dollars for the caulk and the job was done. So I thought. To make a long story short, eventually both headlight assemblies had to be replaced because the corrosion in each unit made them virtually inoperable. Yes, I took it to the garage and they cheerfully did the work for me. Some five hundred bucks later, I had all-new assemblies in place and enjoyed them for about six months before I traded the car in.Is there a lesson to be learned with this story? Yes, keep an eye on your headlights and make them an important part of your vehicle's regular check up. My car had gone through a pair of snowy winters and my mechanic and I determined that road salt ate away at the headlight sealant and exposed my highlights to further moisture. I since learned that this was a fairly common problem for many cars and that I wasn't alone. Small consolation!Matt Keegan is a contributing writer for the Auto Parts Warehouse. 3. Remove the retaining ring, and the headlight will be free. Unplug the wiring connector from the back of the headlamp.
4. Plug the wiring connector into the back of the new headlight and place the light in the mounting base. Lugs on the back of the headlight will position it. If it does not fit securely, you probably have it upside down.
5. Turn on your headlights to test the new light. If it doesn't come on, you might have a problem with the wiring, not the light.
6. Replace the retaining ring. Again, be careful not to disturb the settings of the adjusting screws. Finally, replace any trim elements that you had to remove. How to replace halogen bulbs in composite headlights:1. Never touch the glass portion of the new halogen bulb with your bare hand. Oil from your fingers could contaminate the bulb and cause premature failure. Handle the bulb by it plastic base.
2. Locate the back of the bulb socket. A plug-in wiring connector will be attached to the back socket. Carefully remove the connector.
3. Unscrew the retaining ring if so equipped, or turn the bulb counter-clockwise to release it.
4. Install the new bulb by aligning the notches on the base with the ridges in the socket. Push the bulb firmly into the socket.
5. Replace the plastic retaining ring, or turn the bulb to lock it into place.
6. Replace the electrical connector on the back of the bulb and check for proper operation. Have you been considering getting a new car? Have you been thinking that a new car, which gets better gasoline mileage might be the better investment than the large SUVs that some of your friends have. Now a days you almost cannot go to a party without someone complaining about their last fill-up of over $80 to $100.00 and you feel for them, but hardly feel like joining them. You have most likely heard of all the new hybrids coming out and how much fuel they save. It would be kind of cool to have one. And there are some tax breaks too in case you had not known. In 2006 there will be some tax credits, which are even better. So perhaps you might wait until then, although you may wish to get onto a waiting list right now as when they come into the dealerships they are selling out fast and if you are not on a waiting list chances are you will not be able to buy one at all. One problem with the Hybrids is that you have to worry about the fact that their will be little if any room to negotiate, because the dealer does not have to bring the price down for you to sell the car and they know it. Demand is very strong across the board for hybrids. If you want to save on your gas bill as it appears gasoline prices will not go back to $1.25 per gallon anytime soon, perhaps you should be thinking here?Lance Winslow - Online Think Tank forum board. 2006 Kia Rio: Use and Toss?
Author : Matthew Keegan
Kia vehicles have managed to make significant strides in quality and durability since being introduced to the US market in 1994. Widely panned by critics as producing cheaply built and cheaply priced models, some Kia models are now performing at average or slightly above. The Kia Rio is not one of these cars, however. Only the extended warranty makes the Rio worth a look otherwise slightly more expensive cars from Toyota are preferable. With a base MSRP of just $10,735, the Kia Rio is touted as "still the most affordable 4-door sedan in America." Certainly, when it comes to price, the Rio is a winner. Add in standard features such as dual remote mirrors, driver lumbar support seats, and the extended warranty, and the car is a value leader. Of course, air conditioning will cost you extra and don't expect to find any type of radio in the car either unless you pay extra for it. Remember, the emphasis is on value, not equipment. The Kia is powered by a 1.6L DOHC 16 valve I4 engine paired with a five speed manual transmission. The five passenger sedan produces an anemic 104hp; a four speed automatic transmission is optional.Various upgrade packages allow consumers to select additional "comfort and convenience" options as well as safety features including four wheel antilock brakes. One almost thinks that a customer would do better purchasing the basic model and then purchasing Kia accessories through a parts wholesaler to maximize the car's value. The best part of the Rio -- or any Kia car for that matter -- is the extended warranty, one of the best in the industry. Without it, the Rio would be truly forgettable. Kia's warranty covers the following:Limited Powertrain: 10 years or 100,000 milesLimited Basic: 5 years or 60,000 milesLimited Anti-Perforation: 5 years or 100,000 milesRoadside Assistance: 5 years / unlimited milesThe Kia Rio serves the purpose of providing cheap, basic transportation. If you drive a lot and need an economical car, then the Rio is worth a look. Just don't think that the car rises to the level of a Toyota, otherwise you will be sorely disappointed. You may get five or six good years out of the car before its value decreases to the point where it simply should be discarded.Matt Keegan is an automotive enthusiast and contributing writer for the

Bugs and Cars: No Match There
Author : Matthew Keegan
For those of us living in the southern US states, the proliferation of the insect population is a recognizable part of southern living. Evidence of the huge bug population is manifest on vehicles across the southland in warmer months, particularly on the hood, in and against the grille, and right on the windshield. Fortunately, two products have been developed that can effectively combat the resultant bug splatter: car bras and bug deflectors. Are they good choices for your car? They can be! Please read on to learn more.Car bras – Also called hood protectors, car bras provide maximum protection for the front end of virtually any vehicle on the road. Custom sized for each vehicle, car bras slip over the front end, covering the grill and the front part of the hood. There are some car bras that extend further up the hood almost to the windshield too. Some car bras are two part sections that allow for motorists to gain access to the hood without removing the bra, while others are one piece units that must be removed before popping the hood. In all cases, bugs are deflected from the grille and from at least part of the hood with a car bra.Bug deflectors – Also called bug shields, bug deflectors work primarily to protect your hood and windshield from bug juice. In addition, some bug deflectors can deflect other small objects including stones kicked up from the road which can crack your windshield. A bug deflector is installed at the top section of your grille at the point where the grille meets the front part of your vehicle's hood. Like car bras, bug deflectors are sized for the particular make/model you own, although there are some models that can be custom cut by consumers too. A strong double adhesive tape typically fastens the deflector in place, therefore no drilling is involved.Typically, motorists install one or the other product on their vehicles and not both as a bug deflector must adhere to the car itself and not to part of the bra. Still, some bras have a lip installed that sits across the hood of your vehicle, acting as a mini bug deflector of sorts. So, next time you make a trip through America's southland or if you are a road warrior wanting year round protection for your vehicle's front end, a bug deflector of car bra can be something that does the trick. Oh, by the way: both products look really cool too!Matt Keegan is an auto enthusiast and contributing writer for PitStop Auto Parts, a seller of discount auto accessories including

The present Toyota Camry cars belong to the fourth generation Toyota Camry. Most of the Toyota Camry cars are sedans but the Camry was also sold as a station wagon. Three models of the Camry are available in the market right now: the Toyota Camry LE, Toyota Camry SE and the Toyota Camry XLE.The Toyota CamryThe first Camry was introduced to us as the four-door Toyota Celica Camry sedans in 1980. As expected from Toyota, which always had strong marketing strategies, this vehicle got into the lime light in no time and thus, in 1983, Toyota decided to release it in the market as a model independent from the Toyota Celica, the Toyota Camry.Since its introduction, the Toyota Camry has been competing for the top spot in the midsize sedan market and in recent years, it has been consistently strong in the passenger car category. The Toyota Camry was first built in U.S in 1988 and since then the Camry virtually remained unchanged in substance. It was only in 2003 when Toyota released a completely redesigned Toyota Camry. It got the first new platform in ten years; also, a sporty trim the Toyota Camry SE got into the line-up.FeaturesToyota Camry's sporty and confident stance is one of its most admirable features. The sleek body lines speak of its refinement inside and out. Your impression is further validated from the moment you enter the cabin and feel the cozy ambience and start the 210-hp V6 or the standard four-cylinder DOHC 157-hp engine.Exterior looks of the Toyota Camry is enhanced by its set of handsome steel Toyota wheels with all-season tires, the Toyota spoiler, the aerodynamic and uniquely designed multi-reflector halogen Toyota headlights with auto-off feature, and the unique blackout sport Toyota grille with chrome trim. The dual color-keyed power outside Toyota mirror and the stylish full Toyota wheel covers also add some flair to your driving.2006 Toyota CamryFor the 2006 model year, the Toyota Camry substantially remained the same after some interior and exterior updates in 2005. A DVD navigation system, however, is now a stand-alone option for the Toyota Camry SE V6 model. An Overview on How to Install Neon & LED Interior Car Lights
Author : Antonio T Gabellone
So you've got your LED or Neon interior car lights, but you're now a bit confused
as to where all the car interior neon lights and wires go?" Well fear not, we'll
show all the "in's & out's" of this type of installation and the easiest way of
doing it.It's a good idea to disconnect the battery before installing any car light
accessories. You can do this by disconnecting the negative battery cable and
placing it to one side of the battery where it won't touch any part of the vehicles
body. It's also wise to have your vehicles service manual handy for information
about the specifics of the electrical system on your vehicle. For interior car lights, the best places to mount the LED or neon tubes are under
the dash on both sides just above where your feet go, but high enough so as not
to kick the tubes or damage them. There are also many other places you can fit
them and their location is only limited by your imagination. To operate the lights manually, your going to need a switch located near you,
so you'll need to buy a simple "2way toggle" switch (or use the switch that
may have came with your neon/led tube kit) from your nearest custom car
accessories store. This switch will be inserted into (in-line with) the main
power wire that supplies the kit with 12Volt power.Choose if you want your interior car lights to turn on automatically when the
headlights are turned on, or if you want to control the lights separately with a
"toggle" switch. If you want the neon or LED tubes to light up automatically when the headlights
are turned on, then you will need to find a wire under the dash near the
steering column. This wire you are looking for is normally Red or Yellow, and it's
supplying the "headlight control switch" with 12V power - you're going to have
to "tap" into this wire to light-up your neon lights when the headlights are
turned on.If you want to be able to control the interior car lights separately from the
headlights, (best option) then there's two ways you can do this...1) The power wire can be connected directly to the Positive side of the car
battery, or...2) It can be connected to any 12V power wire from under the dashboard. If you choose to tap into a power wire from behind the dash to power your interior car lights you'll also need to
buy a "Circuit Tester" from your nearest custom car accessory store - they only
cost about $10 dollars. To use this tester is simple, it looks like a pen with an
earth wire hanging out the top of it and a clamp attached to the end of the
wire, and it has a globe inside the middle of the pen, or on its end, which lights
up when you have found power somewhere. To complete the interior car lighting circuit - you'll now just need to
attach the earth wire coming out from the from your led or neon tubes to the
chassis of the vehicle. You can do this in the same way as described above for
the earth wire on the tester - anywhere where there is bare steel under the
dash is always a good earth connection for your interior car lights, even if you
find a screw under the dash that is screwed into bare steel and it is holding
another wire in place as an earth, you can use this too as an earth location.
The control panel earth wire will need to be securely screwed to the chassis of the vehicle
or to any "Earth wire" to complete the power circuit. After your "power" & "earth" connections are complete, your car interior neon
lights should now work. If they appear dull and not real bright, then be sure to
check that you have made GOOD earth and POWER connections.
That's it, you're all done - now all you have to do is put any plastic panels back
into place that you may have removed, pack your tools up, and then head off to
show your friends what a great look you've just created on your car - Enjoy! Please see our "More-In-depth" and step-by-step picture illustrated instructions on the How to install page listed below.Antonio Gabellone is the Owner/Author of All-Neon-Car-Lights.com - The Site is a great resource aimed at Neon Car Lights from PlasmaGlow with "life-time Warranties". Car Accident Checklist: Are You Prepared?
Author : Amy Metz
I've got a confession to make. I've been in a car accident before. Granted, it wasn't my fault at all (both my opinion and the insurance company's opinion). However, once it happened, I realized that I should have been better prepared for the car accident the day it happened. Since I realized this, I decided to make a checklist for things to have in case of a car accident. Here we go1)Insurance Papers. Make sure you have your insurance papers ready to give to the other party in case they need to see them. These can also come in handy to give to the Police if they arrive on the scene of the accident. In some states, having car insurance is mandatory for the operation of a motor vehicle and you can be fined if you don't have any insurance. Make sure you insurance paperwork is in order before finding out that it is necessary to have.2)Pen and paper. Guess what? Most people (myself included until recently) don't carry around the necessary equipment in order to write down the other party's information for insurance claim purposes. Make sure you buy some pens that actually have ink in them and some decent paper in order to write the driver's information. Stow these handy items in your glove box and you'll be ready.3)Digital camera or cell phone camera. This can come in quite handy in the case of a disagreement of facts over what happened at an accident. After the accident happens, taking a few snap shots of both your vehicle and the other driver's vehicle can be great evidence if there is a trial or if either insurance agency tries to deny responsibility. A lot of the newest cell phones come equipped with cameras inside of them that can take and store a huge amount of digital camera photos. Use your cell phone camera to take some on the scene snap shots. There are a whole bunch of other important tips to keep in mind that make these look like the tip of the iceberg. Learn them all and you'll be prepared.Amy Metz is author of "Top Car Accident Tips." Grab your copy at http://www.caraccidentlowdown.com.

7 Little Known Tips That Will Save You Money on Gas
Author : Levi Bloom
With the rising cost of gas prices, and no end in sight, everyone wants to save as much money at the gas pump as they possibly can. You may not be able to control the price of gas but you can change certain habits and follow some basic guidelines to help you save as much money as possible.1. Multitask your shopping expeditionsIf you know of a certain gas station that consistently sells lower priced gas and it's out of your way, you might want to consider making a weekly journey to this destination. This way you can take a day to get gas, buy your groceries, and take a walk in the park within a different area of the city where you live. In effect, what you are doing is multitasking and saving money on your fuel costs at the same time.2. Paying for your gas the smart wayOne of the ways that you can save money at the gas pump is by using a gasoline credit card. When you have a gas card you'll be able to get 5 or 10 percent back on the purchase of your gas. This can amount to as much as $300 each year. If you have multiple drivers in your family you'll want to make sure that every car driving person carries a gasoline credit card with them so that you can take advantage of multiple gas sales. Many gasoline companies are joining up with other retailers to give you numerous savings at the gas pump. You'll be able to not only save on your gas purchase, but you'll be able to earn points towards your next purchase with participating retailers.(Go to http://new2credit.com/creditcardguide.htm and scroll to the bottom to learn more about gas rebate cards.)3. Buy your gas in the morning or eveningGasoline becomes denser in colder temperatures. Gas pumps are set to measure the volume of the fuel that you pump -- not the density. This means that if you fill up your gas tank in the cooler morning temperatures or in the colder evening hours, you'll be getting better gas price economy. (Try to fill up your gas tank later in the evening to avoid the rush of day hours.)4. Buy gas from a busy stationTry to buy your gas from a gas station that is consistently busy and therefore has its underground tanks filled on a regular basis. Gas stations that are slow will have gas that has been sitting in underground tanks for longer periods of time, leading to gas contamination. This contamination can mean that the gas you are purchasing is less powerful than fresh gas and will decrease your fuel economy.5. Avoid fast getaways at the stoplightAccelerate slowly when the light turns green. The faster that you accelerate the more gas that you are going to consume.Make sure you start at the stoplight slow and steady so that you conserve as much fuel as possible while you are going from a stopped position into driving mode.It may be tempting for younger people to accelerate and race away from the stoplight. Don't fall into this trap and you can save up to 20 percent in fuel costs just by being a safe driver.6. Accelerate before hillsIf you are approaching a hill try to accelerate before you reach the hill. This will help you to use up less gas while you are climbing the hill in your car.Remember to accelerate in a safe manner or you won't be able to use this gas saving tip. You in no way want to put your life, or the lives of others, in any danger.7. Ride a bike!People know this works, but don't do it! Try it, you might like it! You can save lots of money on gas, help the environment, and help your body. (Even a motorcycle or moped will save you money on gas.)Levi Bloom is a contributor to automotive sites such as http://thenewcarbuyersguide.com

Taking Care of Your Car's Battery
Author : Matthew Keegan
Every car comes with one, but some motorists act as if this particular component is completely maintenance free. What am I talking about? Your car's battery. Technological advances have made "maintenance free" batteries standard equipment on virtually every vehicle produced today. However, the term "maintenance free" is a misnomer, one that can leave you stranded if you do not perform proper and regular maintenance. Battery maintenance isn't difficult to do, so let's take a look at what you can do to keep your car running. Before discussing battery maintenance, please make sure that your battery is, in fact, the sealed type. If it isn't, then the "maintenance free" label certainly does not apply and you will need to add water on a regular basis. Unsealed batteries are easy to spot as they have small vent caps on top of the battery which can be twisted open. You will need to periodically add distilled water to maintain water levels; more so in the summer months as water tends to evaporate quicker. Do not let your battery run low or run out of water as the battery's cells can be ruined. If your battery is of the sealed variety, then the "maintenance free" label is still only partially true since the term only extends to you not needing to add water to the cells as you would with an unsealed battery. With any type of car battery - sealed or unsealed - you must do the following to help keep it working properly:1. Clean the cables. Disconnect the cables from the battery and clean them with a wire brush that has been doused in a home made mixture [the mixture combines one tablespoon of baking soda with one cup of water]. Use this same mixture to clean off the top of the battery; use a small and clean paint brush to apply the solution where needed.2. Lubricate the posts. A small dab of petroleum jelly on each post will help keep your cables clean and free of corrosion longer. In addition, the jelly will make it easier for you to slip the cables back onto the battery.3. Check connections. Besides the connection between the cable and the posts, make sure that the battery hold down bar is securely in place. Not all cars have or need a battery hold down bar, but if yours has come so equipped, you will need to put it back in its proper place. That's it! Car battery maintenance is an easy task and one that should be performed on an annual basis. If you keep your battery properly maintained, you will extend its life and greatly reduce the chance that your battery will fail you at an inopportune time. Yes, the "maintenance free" label is incorrect, so please don't be lulled into forgetting to do something that should never be overlooked.Copyright 2005 -- Matt Keegan is a contributing writer for the

Auto Parts Can Cost You Big
Author : Michael Russell
Auto parts. Something we really don't think much about. We buy our nice shiny new Honda or Jeep or Lexus or whatever and pray that it runs forever with no problems. And then if there is a problem we hope that the repair isn't too expensive and that the parts can be found with relative ease.Welcome to the REAL world.Auto parts sales is one of the largest industries in the world. Makes sense since almost everyone in the world has an automobile except maybe in underdeveloped countries. Some auto parts wear out rather quickly such as oil filters. Some last a little longer like brake shoes and pads. And then you have parts that thank goodness don't wear out very often at all like transmissions or cars would be impossible to maintain cost wise. But there is more to an auto part than just the part itself. The make and model and year of your car will have a great impact on how much the part will cost to replace and how easy the part is to get.Let us start with ease of obtaining. Obviously newer car parts will be easier to get than older ones. A friend of mine still has a 1975 Pontiac Lemans. To obtain parts for this car he has to literally go to junk yards and even online. No new car dealers keep parts beyond 10 years or so and even auto parts stores limit their inventory to cars under 20 years. A 30 year old vehicle is almost impossible to find parts for. Plus, if you can find the part, depending on where you get it, the cost could be anywhere from 20 to 100% over the original part cost. To say that late model car owners are taken advantage of would be a gross understatement. But ease of obtaining is not just limited to the age of the car. Vehicles with a limited production are also hard to get parts for, especially if the vehicle is not a big seller. The reason for this is again obvious. Keeping inventory that is not going to be sold is expensive. So auto parts dealers keep limited supplies for these vehicles. As for the price of auto parts, aside from the age of the vehicle there is the make and model. In this case foreign car parts are much more expensive than domestically made cars. Most people who buy foreign cars don't realize this or even think about it until it comes time to get their vehicle repaired. Then they get hit with the bill and their eyes pop out of their head. For example, an oil filer for a 2005 Buick Century is about $2.98. The same oil filter for a Honda CRV is $3.98. It's basically the same filter for the Honda but it costs $1.00 more. That comes out to a 33% markup on a relatively cheap part. Imagine that same 33% markup on a part that costs $60 for the Buick. You'd be paying about $80 for the same part for the Honda. The best way to get the best price for auto parts is to shop around. Look on the Internet. Go to auto parts auctions. Go to junk yards, though you don't want a used part for something critical like an engine. Some things like door handles and non functional items like those are fine. Most likely they won't go bad for a while. But for items that keep your car running, if you can afford it, it is best to get new.Auto parts is big business. Just don't get caught up in the money pit it can land you in.Michael Russell

Treating Rusty Metal: A Non-Toxic Solution
Author : Rodger Busse
There are four main methods for dealing with rusty metal including: mechanical removal (grinding, sand-blasting, etc.), specialty paints, acids, and chemical converters. With the exception of chemical conversion, most procedures for removing rust involve dangerous toxic chemicals or require special equipment.Mechanical Removal
One of the most common methods of removing rust is by the use of grinders, wire brushes, sandpaper, and sand blasting. These mechanical methods physically remove the rust from the metal surface. For minor rust, sandpaper will effectively remove rust.Heavy rust requires the use of power equipment that tears the rust away from the surface, exposing bare metal. Sandblasting forces large amounts of sand against the metal surface, breaking down the rust and some metal into fine particles that separate from the surface.Sand blasting is an effective process, but takes experience and specialized equipment. Additionally, if the metal is not primed immediately after sandblasting, rust will readily form on the porous metal surface.Using mechanical methods requires care because being too aggressive my damage the metal surface.Special Rust Paints
There are a few paints on the market that advertise the ability to seal or encapsulate rust. They have chemical structures that have very tight molecules that will not allow moisture or oxygen to reach the rusted metal surface. The effectiveness of these products varies, depending on application and surface preparation.Because of the strong chemical nature of these products (toxic), gloves should be worn and adequate ventilation is important. Spraying requires special thinning solvents and specialized breathing equipment. In addition to being highly toxic, most rust paints are EXTREMELY FLAMMABLE and should be handled with caution.Acids
Use of acids to dissolve rust is another method for rust control. A number of products on the market that deal with rust contain phosphoric acid. Acids dissolve the rust and leave behind a thin oxide coating on the surface. Because this coating is thin, it needs to be protected by topcoating with a quality exterior paint. When using acids, it is important rinse off the metal before the acid begins attacking the solid metal that remains after the rust is dissolved. Gloves should be worn and adequate ventilation is required when using acids. Because of the strong fumes associated with acids, spraying requires special breathing equipment.Another process similar to the acid removal process is commercial stripping. In this process, metal (even an entire car frame) is dipped in a large tank of caustic soda at an elevated temperature. After the paint is dissolved, the metal is removed and rinsed with water and then put in another tank of alkaline solution and the rust removed electrolytically. This is an effective process, but requires a topcoating within a few days or rust will start. Because of the cost of this type of operation, these facilities are usually only available in large metropolitan areas.Chemical Conversion
A very old method of protecting metal from rusting is through chemical conversion. Blacksmiths were probably the first to discover this procedure when they coated their tools with oil and then heated them in a forge. This process created a very hard coating on the tool's surface, protecting it from rust. Known later as "magnetite," this very hard form of iron oxide is one of the most effective means of eliminating rust. And because magnetite is chemically inert, it does not react with oxygen or moisture.Non-toxic Alternative
An interesting solution to the toxic methods mentioned above is a non-toxic paint that uses the chemical conversion process. An example of this type of rust treatment is the Rust Doctor (http://www.therustdoctor.com). Rust Doctor is non-toxic, non-flammable, and biodegradable. It does not have any strong or dangerous fumes and will not damage paint, glass or plastic. If you get it on your hands, merely wash them with soap and water. Two factors make Rust Doctor unique as a rust control system. First, the paint is a water based latex product, allowing brushes and spray equipment to be cleaned up with soap and water. In addition, because there are no strong acids or solvents in Rust Doctor, it is non-flammable and can be used in an enclosed environment without fear of dangerous fumes. This is especially useful when spraying Rust Doctor in a shop or garage.A second advantage of Rust Doctor is the fact it includes a primer that creates an excellent base for topcoating with any kind of paint. The Rust Doctor converts the rust and primes the surface, all in one easy step. Once the conversion process is complete, the surface is left with a heavy coating of this latex primer. In one step, the rust is converted to magnetite and surface is primed. This primed surface will accept sanding primers, making it possible to create as smooth a surface as desired. So next time you are facing a piece of rusty metal, consider all of your options carefully for removing the rust. Make sure to choose the very best solution for your specific needs. It may just be that the best, easiest solution for you is a one-step, non-toxic application of the Rust Doctor.Rodger Busse owns The Rust Doctor. This one-step non-toxic solution allows you to convet and paint over rusty metal in one easy step. Visit The Rust Doctor at http://www.therustdoctor.com It can be used on cars, trucks, boats, motorcycles, farm equipment, and household items.

Seat Belts Trigger Driving Safety!
Author : William Ron
We keep hearing about many protective devices evolving in race with the technological advancements. These include Side Air Bags, Electronic Stability Control Systems, Tire Pressure Monitors, Anti whiplash headrests, Side bars, Seat belts, Booster belts and many more. As per our current context, let's focus on seat belts and their role in sustaining the lives during accidents. In other words, the significance of seat belts in preserving road safety. What happens???Let's see what happens to an unbelted passenger, during an impact. Once a collision or a crash occurs, the vehicle ceases all of a sudden. The collision force slams the unbelted passenger against the car interior, causing injury. The consequent reaction results in the collision of bodily organs causing more pain.Let's envision you to be belted?Let's understand what happens if you and the other passengers are belted during a crash. The belt helps spread the crash over larger parts of your bodies such as your chests, hips and shoulders. If you're the driver, your head, face and chest are also less likely to strike the steering wheel, windshield, or dashboard. In simple words, you are less prone for injury.Few technicalitiesWhen a seat belt is worn properly, it will apply the collision force across the chest and pelvis. This makes them withstand the collision forces to a better extent. A typical seat belt assembly consists of two components, a lap and shoulder belt. The lap belt should be buckled firmly against the body and low across the hips. The shoulder belt should be buckled as tightly as possible spreading across the shoulder and the chest. If you wear just the shoulder strap, you still have chances to slide out and get strangled, while the lap belt prevents you from hitting the steering wheel. The full width of the belt is required to spread motor vehicle collision forces across the body; hence a seat belt should never be worn twisted.A special word of caution for the truck drivers. These giants travel at high speeds hence a even a minor mishap also can lead to a major injury. Thus it is vital to wear the seat belts during truck driving. What about the air bags?Air bags do not replace the seat belt but supplement their action, hence are known as 'auxiliary or supplementary restraints'. Airbags have evolved to protect the head, neck and chest during the collision. During a motor vehicle collision, they reduce the forward movement and minimize impact. They protect the occupant by providing body support and preventing their ejection out of car. These airbags create a cushion between the driver or occupants and the steering wheel, dashboard, windshield or other surfaces.StatisticsIn the past ten years, More than 2,000 unbuckled drivers and front seat passengers died on roadways and approximately 700 unbuckled drivers and front seat passengers were thrown out of their vehicles during crashes. Adoption of seat belts can reduce these figures of fatality to a great dealTime for the DMV LawsDrivers are charged, with a fine and demerit points for seat belt infractions. Demerit points remain on a driving record for two years from the date of the offence. The numbers vary from state to state. All the passengers are required to wear a seat belt in a proper way. This applies to all passengers, who are at least 8 years of age but less than 18 years of age, and each driver and front seat passenger of a passenger automobile, operated on a street or highway. This is a part of driving laws, hence not to be ignoredSafe guard your tiny tots!Children are the most vulnerable victims in car accidents. This is because of their small size, they get injured seriously in even a minor crash. Hence forth it is very esential to take safety precautions when you drive a child along even for a short trip.- Babies, toddlers, pre-schoolers and primary-school aged children are safest in child car seats or booster seats. Arrange for these seats as per their sizes.- The motor vehicle driver is responsible for ensuring that all children under 12 years of age are properly secured in a motor vehicle. The driver should make sure the kid is restrained properly in the back seat.- Never allow children to ride in the laps of other passengersDespite your defensive driving mechanisms, clashes appear quite apparent, in such scenarios, seat belts come handy in reduving the degree of physical injury. Repairing Headlights for Maximum Visibility and Safety
Author : David Maillie
We see them every day - cars we can barely see at night due to bad, ineffective, or improperly aimed headlights. "An average of 9 out of every 10 cars on the road today has dirty or yellowed headlights that greatly reduce vision and need to be replaced or professionally restored." - AAA Foundation for traffic safety. Not only can you barely see them, but what can their driver see - or not see for that matter? "Your night vision can be reduced by as much as 90% by dirty headlights." Road & Travel magazine. This is just not safe. What if there is a large pot hole, children near the street, a deer nearby, etc... Cars with cloudy, dirty headlights just aren't safe and can be down right dangerous. In a recent search of the leading search enginesGoogle and Yahoo there are thousands of accidents, many deadly that were attributed to cloudy headlights. How do we repair or fix the headlights on our cars? "Clean the headlights or have them professionally restored and repaired (our department uses New Lite headlight repair on all our police cruisers and department vehicles - www.mdwholesale.com). Dirty headlights will decrease visibility by as much as 90%." New York Police Traffic Division's Traffic Safety Team. You can now purchase an amazing product that will remove years of neglect and damage and repair, clean and restore the headlights to new again for a fraction of the price of new replacements which can cost $300 or more at your local dealer. For more information on this product look it up on the search engines google or yahoo.Another important item is to have your headlights properly aimed. If they are off even by a minor amount this can really reduce your visibility and your headlights effectiveness. Go to your local inspection station and for a nominal fee they will professionally calibrate your lenses. Its well worth it.After professionally restoring, repairing and aiming your lenses, you might want to consider xenon replacement bulbs. They are pretty cheap and can be purchased all over the internet (just look up xenon in the search engines google and yahoo or ask jeeves). They cost around $5-$15 a piece and will increase your light brightness by 20-40%. This could be the difference in being able to stop in time from a deer running out in the road, or worse like stalled cars with no lights. This is why many states have thorough inspections to determine the effectiveness of your headlights. Its for your own safety and not to line the states coffers with a new source of revenue - thats what traffic tickets are for! So get your headlights repaired, cleaned and restored. Have them properly aimed and inspected. And upgrade to xenon bulbs for maximum visibility. You will save money and be glad you did - you may even save a life!David Maillie is a chemist with over 12 years experience in biochemical research and clynical analysis. Should I Flush The Radiator In My Car?
Author : Austin Davis
Reader Question: I want to flush the radiator in my car, how do I do it and why should I?
Thanks in advance,
Mark W.Mark, the first question that comes to mind is WHY do you want to do this? Red flags go up in my head when customers ask me a "how do I..." question. Some people not only like to diagnose their car problems themselves, but they want to perform the operation as well. This can be a great thing, but only if the diagnosis was correct. If it was not you just wasted your time and money. So my question back to the customer would be "what is the problem you are experiencing, and why do you think this operation will solve the problem?" Boy do I get a blank stare then!"Flushing" a radiator sounds like a wonderful thing to have done periodically to your vehicle, but what does it actually do? You probably have a mental picture of this high powered jet blast of water mixed with some kind of detergent that removes all the gunk that has accumulated in the radiator, and after doing this procedure your car will not only run "cooler" but... "better", right? I mean this gunk has probably been the source of your "engine robbing performance" in your mini van for months, right? I hate to put a damper on your parade, but we need to talk. Most radiators today are small, made of light weight aluminum, and crammed so tightly in the front of the car you can barely see it let alone "flush" it. The neck of the radiator (where you pour in the antifreeze) is usually angled in such a way that it is impossible to pour in the antifreeze, or even SEE the antifreeze for that matter. The inside of the radiator is made up of a honey comb maze of rows, or "sipes" that sends the hot antifreeze on a long meandering journey from left to right of the radiator. Air is being forced through fins on the outside of the radiator to cool down the antifreeze inside the radiator.Ok, I hope you are still with me because here is the answer to the question. Where does dirt and sediment accumulate in the radiator, at the top or the bottom? The bottom of the radiator will trap the majority of the rust, dirt and sediment. You can try as hard as you want to, but you will not be able to remove enough of this compacted material to do any real significance in engine performance. The way the radiator is designed internally prevents the access of any high pressure action that you might be able to insert into the small opening of the radiator neck located at the top of the radiator. At my shop the term "flushing" the cooling system has been replaced with "draining and refilling" the cooling system. Removing the lower radiator hose, or if equipped use the radiator drain cock to drain out the old antifreeze and replace with the new fluid is essentially "draining and refilling the cooling system."This of course will only remove any minor surface debris along with the old contaminated fluid, and will probably NOT cure any over-heating complaints you might have been experiencing. Calcium and rust build up within the sipes are the main causes of radiator stoppages, and will cause a over-heating complaint. If this is the case, removal of the radiator from the car for disassembling and rebuilding, or replacing the radiator are really the only two viable options.Yes, there are many "radiator flush" additives on the market, but most are not to be used in aluminum radiators (which all newer vehicles are equipped with), or just flat out don't work.
There are very few (ok, probably only one or two) problems with a motor vehicle that can be solved by the contents of a can.So, in a nut shell...draining and refilling your radiator with new antifreeze every two to three years WILL help maintain and extend the life of your vehicle, but will probably NOT have an impact on the way it drives, overall fuel economy, cure a major over-heating problem, or improve handling in wet weather. Also for added maintenance, ask your mechanic to inspect the radiator and heater hoses, and test or replace the radiator cap when replacing the antifreeze.Learn about things like RadiatorFlush Check engine light and Brake rotors

Honda Accord Coupe 2006: The Weekly Driver
Author : James Raia
In its 30-year history, the Honda Accord has transistioned from a curiosity to an industry leader. It's now available in more than 30 configurations, the LX 2-door coupe with manual transmission to the hybrid 4-door automatic with a navigation system. The Accord's base retail price varies more than $12,000, with the least expensive model just under $20,000 and the high-end hybrid now more than $32,000.In brief, the Accord has come a long way since its pint-sized offerings of the late 1970s.Yet, with rare exception, the Accord maintains consistent high category ratings throughout its line -- acceleration to fuel economy, steering and handling to quietness. As it does throughout the industry, automatic transmissions dominate the Accord line. Which is why my test vehicle for the week was an unexpected surprise -- the six-speed manual transmission Accord coupe. It's one only about one-third of the Accords available with manual transmissions. While maintaining much of the defining characteristics of the Accord sedan -- superior exterior and interior design and well-engineered instrumentation -- the EX V6 coupe and its tight-shifting gearing -- turns the Accord into a near racer. It's quick, maneuvers nimbly and has a sportscar feel while masquerading as a conservative, humble-looking coupe.Shifting through gears just isn't as popular as it once was among the driving populace, but that's one of the six-speed Accord's best features. The combination of the smooth shifts and the position of the shift box make the Accord fun to drive and particularly zippy with its 240-horsepower engine. Quickly advance through the gears on freeway entrances and use the tight gearing for quick acceleration in any scenario, and the Accord responds comfortably and without hesitation. My weekly test drive vehicle had a solid white exterior, but the two-tone gray console and tan leather interior perfectly matched the outside. In fact, Honda's color tones and the coordination of exterior and interior colors -- green/tan and red/tan -- are as nice as any color scheme on the market. The Accord line has a long list of standard features. The EX V6 includes several upgrades, a 3.0-liter engine, traction control, four-way passenger seat and a universal garage door opener. Those features add to the already substantial standards list that includes AM/FM radio with six disc CD changer, steering wheel radio controls, power roof, mirrors and door locks and adjustable lumbar support. With the exception of two minor annoyances, there's just not much not to like about the Accord. One frustration is the heater has only an automatic function and no manual fan controls. The other disappointment is the absence of a rear window windshield wiper. These are small squabbles. The Accord has been at the top of vehicle consumer satisfaction lists for many years. And from all categories -- reliability to resale, construction to quietness -- the line's reputation is certainly in no danger.

Car Accident Settlements
Author : Eric Morris
Car accident settlements can be arranged when an accident causes property damage or injuries. In such cases owners other vehicles involved in the accident and people who are injured in the accident can receive settlements to compensate them for their losses.Sometimes, car companies are held responsible for injuries and property damage that result from defective cars. Many SUVs and types of tires have been found to be unsafe and recalled. The car manufacturers must provide all the documents related to the vehicle at the time of the sale. Manufacturer that provide incomplete or inaccurate information are liable for a lawsuit if the vehicle is involved in an accident. SUV models are considered the most deadly due to the number of accidents they were involved in.Due to the increasing number of car accident settlements, new rules are being passed that will at least ensure that the customer knows all the internal details and statistics of accidents involved with that particular model before buying the vehicle. Also, the vehicles manufactured must be well equipped to face the road and weather conditions of that particular location before it is sold to the public. A few such safety limitations can help reduce the number of car settlement cases that might have been filed due to freakish accidents.Even though Ford has come up in the media for a large number of accident settlements it is facing, many other manufacturers have also produced vehicles or have committed error by omission by not providing the requisite details and documents to the customer. All these manufacturers can reduce the number of deaths and accident settlements by coming clean with the customer with matters relating to the car make and model.Car Accidents provides detailed information about car accidents, car accident injuries, car accident lawsuits, and more. Easy Ways to Save on Car Expenses
Author : Matthew Keegan
For some drivers, their cars have become money pits. Higher fuel prices have been the monkey wrench that has spoiled many a motorists driving experience. No longer can any of us count on cheap fuel, high gasoline prices are here to stay. However, you can save money on your overall car expenses and restore your driving pleasure quickly. Here are some tips to guide you along the way:Regular Gas v. Premium Gas -- Very few vehicles built today require premium gasoline. Thanks to knock sensors, which adjust the mixture of air and fuel to your engine, many cars can run on "87" octane fuel v. "91" octane fuel. By selecting the cheaper priced grade of fuel, you can save a nice amount of money over one year's time.Wash it Yourself. No one does a better job of washing and waxing your car then you do. Avoid those all too frequent trips to the car wash and save some money today. Of course, if you live in a more northerly climate where snow and road salt usage is pervasive, going to a car wash is a must in order to protect your vehicle's body. Buy a coupon book to save on multiple washes. What's in Your Wallet? If you aren't already using a rewards credit card for your gasoline purchases, you should be. Some cards are designed to give you an instant price reduction at the pump. Shop around for the card that is right for you.Check Your Tires. Under inflated tires can reduce gasoline mileage by as much as 10%. In addition, under inflated tires will wear out faster too.Review Your Insurance Policy. You may be paying for too much insurance on your car especially if it is worth less than $3000 and you still have collision coverage. Drop the collision coverage and bank the savings toward a down payment on your next car. Make certain that all of your other personal information is accurate too as an incorrectly listed zip code can impact your rates.Change Your Oil. Granted, not too many people change their car's oil anymore. With ten minute oil change shops so widespread, the convenience factor is a big consideration. Still, if you have someone else changing your oil, you do not need to change it every 3000 miles unless you subject your car to severe driving. Check your manufacturer's recommendations and change it according to their specifications, not Jiffy Lube's.Do the Work Yourself. Some maintenance you can do yourself thereby avoiding having to pay high labor charges and too much for your parts. Air filters, oil filters, belts, batteries, and many other smaller parts can be changed by most motorists. Shop online through a discount wholesaler and you can save even more money on premium automotive parts.Gas prices are likely to remain high, so saving money elsewhere becomes even more important. A wise consumer shops around for the best deals and there are plenty of them out there. In the face of a fuel crisis, you may have to curtail some of your driving or at least change your driving habits, however the "Great American Past Time" is alive and well and cruising down a freeway near you. RV Manufacturers - Quality and Customer Service Are Key to Success
Author : Eriani Doyel
With the popularity of recreational vehicles staying steadily strong, RV manufacturers must compete for customers who will hopefully repeat business, and share their enthusiasm about their RV with friends and family. Young families with children still at home and those both old and young who have no children at home are discovering the joys of the recreational vehicle lifestyle. All of the manufacturers must tap into these markets by using not only creative advertising techniques, but also by listening to what consumers want and responding with products that meet those needs.A lot of the advertising that is done for RV manufacturers is actually done through dealers. Both online and local dealerships advertise big sales that spotlight some of the more popular makes and models from the different manufacturers. Dealers are often the "face" of the RV manufacturers. Some dealers only offer one line of recreational vehicle. In this situation the dealer educates themselves and then the customers on all of the best features and latest improvements that the manufacturer has made.RV manufacturers also reach their target audience by using literature that is age specific. You may see ads for RVs in magazines that are mainly read by people who are retired for example. One way that some RV manufacturers maintain their steady customer base is through offering activities and additional resources to their buyers. They may have rallies, conventions, road side stops, etc. along with owner magazines that cater to their current customers. Then, RV manufacturers can ask their customers what they like/dislike about their current RV and what they can do to improve it. After this, they take the information back to their headquarters and implement those ideas which have the most feasibility and the most popularity. When RV manufacturers listen to their customers they will have more success and repeat business. All RV manufacturers try to have something about them that sets them apart from the others. They may tout their customer service after the sale; they may also be the "luxury" choice for buyers with more expensive, but also more beautiful and better made RVs. Some also talk about the manufacturing process itself-they may rely on personal accountability and numerous quality checks and tests by their workers to ensure that your RV is made perfectly and up to standard.Choosing an RV is very much choosing the manufacturer as well. You must decide what is most important to you in your recreational vehicle whether it is price, features, construction, etc. and find a manufacturer that mirrors your choices.Eriani Doyel writes articles about RVs, Home and Family. Chevy Camaro: Build It and We Will Buy It!
Author : Matthew Keegan
Attention, General Motors! The concept Camaro now making the rounds of U.S. auto shows is a real winner. Keep showing the car, but start making plans to get it built...now! Make no changes to the concept; in other words: keep the boardroom geeks away from the project. Yes, GM is looking at bringing back a venerable nameplate – the Chevrolet Camaro. If all goes as planned, a 2009 model Camaro is a strong possibility. Read on for additional interesting tidbits.Back in the late 1960s, General Motors responded – albeit a little late – to the wildly successful 1964 1/2 launch of the Ford Mustang. A whole new breed of cars were on the market – pony cars – thanks to the Mustang and GM's release of the Chevrolet Camaro and the Pontiac Firebird. Indeed, Chrysler and American Motors jumped in too with the Dodge Charger, Plymouth Road Runner, and AMC Javelin competing successfully in a popular automobile segment.Consumer tastes have changed over the years and the Camaro did not keep up them. Better put, it was GM who did not keep up with the Camaro and it, along with the Firebird, were retired after the 2002 model year. 35 years of Camaro/Firebird history came to a bitter end.Fortunately for Camaro lovers, it may once again be the hated Mustang that rescues the Camaro. As in the 1960s, GM is witnessing Ford's big success with its retro looking Mustang and GM wants a piece of the action. Unlike GM, Ford never retired the Mustang name and, instead, gave it a complete makeover that has galvanized sales. The Camaro making the rounds of the U.S. auto shows is a real beauty. Taking its styling cues from the '69 Camaro, the proposed '09 Camaro is expected to feature a 6.0L V8 engine paired with a 6 speed manual transmission. The wheels are 21" at the front and 22" at the back, but smaller wheels are likely to be the production standard. In addition, the Camaro's interior will hearken back to the original model's interior and include its famed twin instrument pod. With a base V6 available, the standard Camaro may retail for just under $20,000, a highly competitive price for an awesome looking two door coupe. Now, if the powers that be within GM can be persuaded to build the car based on the concept, the Camaro will certainly give the Mustang a run for the money and keep the all new (retro) Dodge Challenger from swiping away Camaro loyalists.Oh, to dream about big things…the Camaro is one car that enthusiasts want to go from concept to completion and soon! GM, are you hearing us?Copyright 2006 – For additional information regarding Matt Keegan, The Article Writer, please visit his blog for wit, quips, and freelance writing tips.

Travel Trailers - Low Cost RVing in Luxury
Author : Julie Jacobs
If you have always wanted to own an RV but the cost scared you off, travel trailers may be the option you are looking for. The prices can start as low as $20,000 for a brand new (but basic) trailer and the ultra deluxe travel trailers can be purchased for under $100,000. This is much less than most of the motorized RVs you will find on the road. Here is some information about travel trailers that you might find helpful in your search for the perfect recreational vehicle:Length: These trailers usually range in length from about 15 feet to around 30 feet with some exceptions. Length is an important consideration based on where you will be using your travel trailer and also storing it.Features: The most basic trailer will have a small kitchen area with a cook top and a sink and small refrigerator. As you get into the pricier models you may find a full stove and a large fridge and maybe even a dishwasher. Most travel trailers don't have bedding for more than 2 to 4 people but they usually offer a queen size bed. Bath area may just be a shower and a toilet or it may have a small tub and sink as well. The higher-end models will have more entertainment options as well including stereos, DVD players and large televisions. The price you pay for travel trailers really can make a difference in the features available to you.Towing: In order to tow travel trailers you will need to make sure that your vehicle is rated to carry the extra weight of the trailer when it is loaded and the gas tank is full. For some of the longer trailers you will need a truck or SUV, but some of the smaller trailers may be pulled by a small truck or mid-size car. The tow hitch and stabilizers you use should also be rated for the weight of the trailer.Maneuverability: Find out about any special regulations on towing travel trailers in the locations where you will be using the trailer. You should also test yourself before you buy, on moving the trailer around. Most travel trailers have safety features to help prevent swaying but it is still different than driving a car without towing something behind it.A towable RV is a great option for those who are just starting in the RV market and are not sure if they want something really big, but they want something comfortable. They are good for weekend trips or cross-country camping expeditions. Families with young children and older couples enjoying retirement will find things to appeal to them.
