Limoneira International, a division of Limoneira Company, announced it will open its first Limoneira Coffee Company retail outlet in February 2005 in Santa Paula, California. Limoneira International, established in 2002, is the exclusive worldwide distributor of Guar Arabica premium coffee grown by Jogil Agropecuaria in the Jequitinhonha Valley in Minas Gerais, Brazil. As a single-source supplier, the entire coffee process, from seed to cup, takes place at Jogils more than 2,000-acre coffee plantation within its 40,000-acre farm. Coffee beans are harvested, dried and roasted under the supervision of Jogil owners Jos Olyntho Oliveira and his sons. The Oliveira family takes great care in ensuring that each bag of Guar coffee contains beans that are consistent in size, quality, color and are rich in flavor, says Bill Allen of Limoneira International. Limoneira International began marketing its coffee under the Guar name in 2004 to multiple retail, wholesale and food service channels.
